Terms of Service

Vitalore is a service for keeping the life story of someone you love: they answer questions out loud, and their memories become a book with their voice. These terms govern the use of the service, operated by Jorge Bravo Córdoba (Barcelona, Spain) — contact@vitalore.app.

1. Your account

To create stories you need an account with a verified email. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what happens from your account. You must be of legal age.

2. The invitation link

Each story has a private link the narrator uses to record without an account. That link is yours: share it only with them. You can regenerate it whenever you want (the previous one stops working) and close the story at any time.

When you invite someone you undertake that they know their voice is being recorded and agree to it. Vitalore is made for gifting — never for recording anyone without their consent.

3. The memories belong to your family

The audio, the transcripts, and the book belong to the narrator and to your family. You grant us only the technical permission strictly needed to provide the service: storing, transcribing, and writing the book. Nothing more. You can download the PDF book, listen to the audio, and delete any answer whenever you want.

4. The book is written with artificial intelligence

Transcripts and the biography are generated automatically and may contain errors or omissions. The text draws only on what the person told, but it's worth reviewing — you can regenerate the book as many times as you need while the story is open.

5. Pricing and payment

Vitalore is paid once per story; there are no subscriptions. While payments appear as "coming soon" on the website, the free tier works normally and nothing is charged.

When payment is active, sales are processed through Paddle, acting as merchant of record: Paddle is the party that sells to you, invoices you, and handles the taxes on the purchase, and the name that appears on your card statement. Prices shown include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

6. Refunds

Our guarantee and the EU right of withdrawal are explained in the refund policy. The short version: if the person doesn't record a single answer, we give your money back.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use Vitalore to record people without their consent, for illegal content, or to attempt to breach the security of the service or access other people's stories.

8. Availability and liability

Vitalore is at an early stage. We do everything reasonable to keep the service running and the memories safe (backups, encryption in transit, serious providers), but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We recommend downloading the PDF once the book is ready. Our liability is limited to what you paid for the service, without prejudice to the rights the law grants you as a consumer.

9. "Forever" and the end of the service

When we say the audio and the book are kept "forever", we mean for the whole life of the service, with no fees or renewals: we never delete your memories for inactivity or the passage of time. You can also download the PDF book and listen to the audio whenever you want — we recommend keeping your own copy.

If Vitalore ever had to shut down for good, we commit to giving you at least 90 days' notice at your account email and to keeping all your content (audio, transcripts, and book) available for download during that period, so your family's story leaves with you.

10. Termination

You can close your account at any time by writing to us; we delete your data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, with notice except in urgent cases.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep every right your local law grants you.
